mY cHILDREN aRE rEALLY wEIRD

Ahhh...First Monday of Winter Break. The day started off so wonderfully. I get very little sleep with this thing on my arm and my children let me sleep in until 8 o'clock.

I was woken up with kisses from my affectionate Sofia.

My extremely caring son told me he was making a cup of coffee for me and hopped downstairs to the kitchen.

My considerate Bella strode in and told me since my arm was hurt she'd teach her little sister her numbers and letters for the day.

Since my pain killers cause me to become extremely agitated and unable to stop my thoughts and words from shooting out of my mouth, I no longer take them. This leaves my arm feeling as if it's on fire for most of the day, starting when I wake up. This made what they were doing this morning all the more truly appreciated.

"What wonderful children I have!", I thought........

until I went downstairs.

My extremely caring son had ground instant coffee in my coffee bean grinder. When powdered coffee gets turned into finely ground dust, it sure does get everywhere.

The "teaching" my considerate daughter taught my affectionate daughter seemed to be a class in body art, rather than numbers and letters.

Now I know why those bathroom towels were multi-colored.

All in all my children seem pretty happy.

But it still doesn't hide the fact that they're also pretty weird.

And I can't hide the fact that I'm pretty happy to be their dad.

They are not weird, they are just children being children and for what I can see, they ARE happy kids which is what any parent would want for there own.

Keep in mind that there intentions to help where the best, perhaps not what you had expected but nevertheless with your best interest at heart, plus you must admit, they are original,
lol.

I know their hearts are in the right place. I love their spirits and originality. They are confident and happy children, which is why I can get away with calling them weird, watching them behave so much like their father:-)

Every morning I wake up with them here is a good morning. Good to hear from you Rarlynn.

For those who don't know her, she's a former student who is now in middle school and getting very high grades. She's what every teacher hopes for; a student who continues to succeed on their own.

I'm proud of you Rarlynn. You were worth every minute I ever gave you.
