Happiness

Happiness can be fleeting
It can be long lasting

Gone as soon as it came
Around forever and here to stay

Like sand slipping from your fingers
A warm feeling in your heart that lasts forever

A balloon that pops unexpectedly
A tree that grows strong and sturdy

A quick smile from a passerby
A friendship that lasts into old age

Happiness is sometimes quick
Sometimes slow

Always out of reach
Always in your soul
