My Name is Jack

This is my first childrens' book. I wrote this while playing with and holding my godson, Jack Andrew Benson. It's amazing how inspiring love can be.

MY NAME IS JACK

My name is Jack
and I was born today.

I've waited so long
and now I'm ready to play.

But what shall I do
and what should I be?

The world is so big,
so open, so free!

Why....I'll bounce on the clouds
in a hot-air balloon.

I'll grow so tall
that I'll tickle the moon.

I'll race wild horses
in the hot desert sand.

I'll study music
and lead a big band.

I don't really know what I'll do or be,

only that mommy and daddy will always love me.

The.......Beginning.

The response to this book has been so great that I'm now in the process of making "My Name is Jack" into a five-book series. I've also been asked to do a "Meet the Author" reading and book signing at the Downtown Public Library in Orlando this upcoming summer. Life is good!

I like this one the best. The drawing of the horse is great too.
Maybe you can start writing my college papers!

Jack loves to read the book written just for him! He chooses to read the book almost nightly. He pulls it from his shelf & immediately turns to the back of the book to find the picture of his Uncle Adam. We read the book together. He loves to look at the pictures his uncle & cousins have drawn for him and always gets excited to see "Jack" in the hot air balloon. Thank you, Adam for sharing such an incredible gift with your Godson. It will be cherished forever! We love you!

It's a gift that someone can come up with such creative and wonderful ideas.
