Give Without Seeking Anything in Return

There is a big difference between an opinionated person and a person with intelligent opinions. One seeks to limit the world according to their views. The other wants to widen the way in which the world can be viewed. Which one are you?

Your world is the size of your mind. How big can you get it? How beautiful and amazing can it be? How much fun can you create in it? How much can get accomplished? What kind of people are in it with you? This last point is crucial. What kind of people are you allowing into your world, giving your time to that you will never get back? Are these people adding to or taking away from your life?

Are YOU adding to or taking away from others lives? This is why being genuine is crucial. You can fool the world by pretending to be something you're not, and pretend to give freely while secretly seeking only to take.

But the wise old Universe can see, and see you are attracting others such as thee, and soon your life is filled with false friends and takers, that only serve to make your life a living hell in the making.

Give to someone today without seeking anything in return. I really think it sends out such strong vibrations of purity at the cellular level that it's picked up by others' cells and sent back.

But it's sent back even stronger, affecting more than just the two people involved. Recent emails and comments I've received have empowered me with perfect timing, and are affecting all those who see them, from the blogpots to MySpace.

When you believe in something (or someone) with your very cells IT HAPPENS, THEY HAPPEN! How else do you explain phenomena like what's been happening with my students and others across the world year after year? It's an emotional storm of belief passed from inside the teacher to the inner world of the student, repeated over and over with EACH one in the room.

As I am in the middle of a battle called grad school finals, I see a bigger battle looming on the horizon, the start of a new school year. We all have our battles coming to us; this is mine. As I prepare myself for a new class of students, it is the incredible comments from incredible people that give me the strength to believe I can once again create a genuine emotional storm of belief in everyone with my very cells, and be intelligent enough to see how to get that fiery storm into the hearts and minds of each one at their very cells.

This is how students become unstoppable, children feel loved, marriages survive, impossible battles are won, and worlds are changed.

Thank you for all those giving freely to me. You are changing my world and the worlds of all I touch, including my grandmother's who was waiting for my call goodnight, felt the good vibrations you've given me, and felt confident that, "Tomorrow's going to be a very good day."

Stuart's SPECTACULAR Students

I'm working on posting the many, many as-of-yet-unposted pictures I have of my students over on their site. I owe it to them for an entire year of being driven by a ridiculous madman intent on helping them feel and become unstoppable. The funny thing is, they had more fun doing and becoming than they've ever had.

They've also accomplished more academically as a group than they ever before. On more than one test they've averaged an "A" as a class average. The average student demonstrated MASTERY of the subject!

I feel confident that they are deep in the process of truly becoming Masters of Their Own Fate. Click on their link to the right, over their under the "My Name is Jack" link, to see them. Or, for all you people over 40 (which is now me), just click here.........Stuart's Spectacular Students

Share in their success. If you feel a feeling or think a thought by something you see, please let them know by clicking the "comments" at the bottom of each post. For every 100 people who think of making a comment, one does. They are finalizing their memory books tomorrow morning. Who knows? Maybe something you say will be included.

I asked them at the beginning of the year what they would do with their lives that would last forever? Maybe something you say will encourage and inspire them throughout their lifetimes.

Creativity Creates You

*This is from a post I did for my students over on there weblog, over their on they're site (yes, I know I've misused this "homonym" three times. The first was on accident and I was in too much of a hurry to go back and correct it. I've way too much to do and can't afford to take the time to go back and correct a silly mistake that would largely go unoticed anyway, unless of course I pointed it out in some way).

My point was that in preparing a lesson on problem solving for my students I realized how similar the steps are in solving the life problems we face everyday. Instead of reading, riting and 'rithmatic......plug in health, wealth and happiness.

* click here to see photos and read their thoughts and progress on "Describe, Design, Do, Determine"

DREAM BIG

1. Describe the problem you'd like to solve or objective you'd like to achieve

2. Design an experiment or project to explore the mystery you'd like to solve or idea you want to test

DO BIG!

3. Do it!

a. Have as much fun as you can responsibly handle.

b. ****As you search for answers, be OK with frustration and struggle. It means new learning is near. New learning means new growth. New growth means a new you (your creativity, caused by your frustration, will bring answers). Creativity creates.....you.

c. *If you are not more at the end of the day than you were when you walked in, we both have done a terrible diservice to you; disrespecting who you are, and not honoring everything you are to be!

4. Determine the amount of learning that has taken place. How? Always go back and start with what you know. In this case it's your objective or the intriguing problem you wanted answers to. Reflect on what you've learned. Evaluate the outcome(s) of your experiment or project. Don't forget about any new or unexpected learning that might have taken place. Some great inventions were made by accident and "failure" (i.e. post-it notes).

BE BIG!

Respect who you are by turning in a paper reflecting your best effort.

Honor who you are to be by listening to new questions that come to mind and pursuing those on your own.

The Tiny Shoves of Heroes

The world is not moved only by the mighty shoves of the heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker.
-Helen Keller

I've heard another quote that those who become heroes are simply everyday people who keep making tiny shoves in the right direction (in their lives and the lives of others).

I am very proud of my students. They have been making tiny shoves all year; sometimes with me "shoving" them, but now mostly them shoving themselves.

Every day is a chance to give yourself and those around you heroic effort. It is my job to make sure each and every student placed in my care leaves at the end of the year feeling unstoppable; that they have become their own heroes.

I am deeply honored to say that THEY ARE doing this. They ARE becoming heroes to themselves and the heroes that will move the world tomorrow. I feel very good about our future.

Click Stuart's Spectacular Students to see the amazing changes they've made in their lives. You can also visit them anytime by clicking on their page to the right in the "Links" area. They have fans from all over the world, and I encourage you to become one of them, silent or spoken, because we can never have enough people believing in us.

When we believe in ourselves, we CAN create the life we were meant to have, which so few of us ever do (historically about one in ten of us). I say 10 out of 10 for these kids. One in 1,000 become remembered forever (see "The Importance of Genius"
"What Will You Do That Will Last Forever?" and "Patty Boy Blemur"). Let's try to make it 1,000 out of 1,000 of the people we know, ourselves included.

Dream big. Dream so big it's ridiculous. Ridiculous dreamers change the world with their ridiculous dreams. It is scary living this way, but it is definitely living while you are alive, very fulfilling, and like I know my son (pictured below) will do when he leaves this life, allows us to blow a kiss to the world, throw our arms out wide, and say "THANK YOU LIFE! I HAD A GREAT TIME!."

By the way, for those of you who love music that moves your body, I'm listening to "Ooh, La La" by the Wiseguys. It is fantastic!
